Today the painters arrived at school to begin the repaint of the existing school buildings. The first coat of colour was begun to be applied - the same Heritage colour will be used on the new buildings. It is looking much smarter already! At the same time on the building site, the first lot of building paper was put on the new classroom.

Good progress is being made on our building project. The framing for the roof was completed during this week and over the next two weeks we can expect to see the roof cladding, windows and building wrapping put on, as well as starting the brick work. You can really get a feel now as to how the new buildings will look.

We have returned to school today to find that the framing of the classroom and new administration has begun to be put up. We can really see what size our buildings are going to be now! All very exciting!

The children enjoyed being able to play once again on the adventure playground in today's sunshine. They are thrilled with its new position and that the climbing wall has some new hand grips on it!

Final foundation preparation has been completed and next week after Easter, the concrete foundations will be poured. The following week the timber framing will erected so by the time we come back after the school holidays we will see great progress!

In the last week construction has got underway. The new classroom and administration building was set out and foundations dug. Concrete was poured into the foundations and concrete blocks are beginning to be laid.

Meanwhile the playground is beginning to be re-built in its new location and this is expected to be completed within the week.
