Enviroschools

St. Leo's is part of the Enviroschools programme which encourages all children to be more aware of the environment through a range of activities throughout the school year.

The enviroschools programme aims to equip our young people with the competencies they need to be leaders in sustainability.
Projects undertaken have both environmental and educational outcomes that benefit the school and wider community.  We have a vegetable garden which is used through the year and a worm farm which the children enjoy looking after.  The whole school takes part in an annual beach clean up day on one of Devonport's beautiful beaches.

The school has been awarded a Enviroschool's Bronze Award and are currently working towards gaining a silver award.
