Every school Board of Trustees develops a charter that guides school strategic direction for a three year period. As part of this process the entire school community is consulted about the strategic direction they want for the school.
An Annual plan is then developed each year based on the strategic plan.
OUR GOALS
Feedback from our St Leos parents is clear that they expect us to set high standards of achievement for our children and that is what we have done in our School Charter. We believe that as a decile 10 school there is no reason why we should not aim high. The charter links back to our school motto of excellence.
Our strategic goals are:
Goal 1 - To teach nurture and celebrate our Catholic life and faith.
Goal 2.1 All our students will achieve at or above National Standards in literacy.
Goal 2.2 All our students will achieve at or above National Standards in Mathematics.
Goal 2.3 To identify and cater for our high achievers.
Goal 2.4 To give effect to the New Zealand curriculum.
Goal 2.5 To be confident, capable and innovative users of Information and Technology.
Goal 3 To support a high performing team.
Goal 4 To support a well resourced learning environment.
